We’re both teachers at heart and we hope that some of this might be useful for other entrepreneurs.

I’ve founded multiple companies and learned a bit through making mistakes first hand. MicroAssist, Inc. is my first and longest running (over 25 years). MicroAssist was founded about 4 years after Dell and in the same town. I hoped I could teach the employees of all the companies buying computers from Dell, CompuAdd, and Austin Computers how to use the computers to drive productivity.
As the Internet came along we grew our eLearning and web groups. We didn’t participate in the dot-com boom or crash. We did create some great eLearning and web applications that are used by millions of people (our stuff being used by people is where I get my juice!)
I believe we are in the middle of the next great revolution in technology. The move to mobile. Mobile democratizes computing and information bringing it to users who aren’t at a desk and bringing information to users who have never had a reliable connection to the internet (and sometimes not even reliable power). It delivers the information just in time and just in place which has huge implications for organizations. It’ll be fun to see where this revolution takes us.
